The story

Fairport Mills, on the Saline River.

In 1879, Knight & Bradshaw built Fairport Mills, a steam and water-powered flour mill, at a site on the Saline River northwest of Russell, Kansas. In 1886 a little limestone cabin was built.

Today it has everything a hotel has plus a cookstove, refrigerator, all your dishes, pots and pans. There is a queen size bed in the loft and a queen air bed for extra folk.
